The Lomax Gathering is not just a music event but rather three days of similar activities tied together by specific music that celebrates the Roots of Texas Country Music; those who shaped it and those that play it today. It is also a celebration of the American Cowboy and folklore preservationist John A. Lomax. Come out and enjoy great early period music, learn some things about history, horses & camp cooking, watch others compete, eat a great meal prepared by proven chuck wagon cooks, and to just be entertained by great people. And yes, there will be some good stuff for the kids! Mack is honored to be appearing during Saturday's lineup along with Brian Burns, Steve Fromholz, Gary Pratt, Glen Moreland and more.
